my adobe cs5 on its way

14 May

A friend from college helped me out get a copy of Adobe Creative Suite 5 on a discount. It’s a great thanks to him. The Windows version costs slightly less compared to the Mac version at Amazon

I started searching for tutorials and landed at TutsPlus . I started giving a thought about the positives and negatives of getting a getting a premium membership. I’d start with a 3 month pre-paid member ship as soon as I get my hands on my software . I need to start learning faster. Yes, I L0V3 art, and YES, I have a plan . The execution start month is August 2010.

The problem about my dsc-t70

10 Nov

Two weeks back @naveenkr suggested that I get my camera checked at a Sony Service center. The technician analyzed and told me there could be a possible problem with the lens (but he was also not sure. I am pretty sure that it was for the money) which was more than ¾th the cost of the camera. I heard the technician suggesting 3 more customers that it is a problem with the lens.

Either Sony doesn’t care about the very few bad quality products that degrades their reputation or the Sony service centers get a high cut pretending to repair a product. Atleast that’s the case in Hyderabad.

Planning it sell it off or get a replacement with a new Canon Rebel or another ‘point and shoot’ camera.

All this time, I thought it was an issue with my creative & photography skills. I myself, could not believe that I’ve been using a cam from 1.7 years (darn it). My flickr account mostly has the ‘not so great’ photos in my account.

I was searching for a mini tripod for my camera from the past couple of months. IIIrd Eye in Ashoka Metropolitan mall (Hyderabad) had few mini tripods which were not for sale. I googled them up but ended up in an U.S. site which was a little of 20 USD. After few weeks of searching on the roads, I decided to try my luck on ebay. And, it ended up as my savior.

A mini tripod was on sale for INR 205 (close to USD 4) and free shipping (voila) at omaxphotographics at Ebay.in. And now, I can place my 2nd order at ebay.
